The Daily Devotional For Women App is made by Novix Technology Inc., a small software team that has been building Bible study apps since 2018. More than 2.6M+ women have used our apps since then, and the App Store rating currently sits at 4.95 across18,000+ ratings.

Why we built it

A devotional app can very easily become one more thing demanding your attention. We wanted the opposite: something you could open at 6am with a coffee going cold beside you, read for a few minutes, and close again feeling like you had actually met with God rather than completed a task.

So the app is free, it works without a signal, and there is no schedule to fall behind. You read at your own pace — which means a plan you set down three weeks ago is simply a plan you can pick up again.

The devotions are written by people

This matters more every year. The writing in the app is human work — over 400 devotions and guided studies, written and edited rather than generated. You can tell the difference between a reflection on grief written by a person and one assembled from a template, and so can the reader who needs it.

Scripture is offered in both the King James Version and the English Standard Version, because the translation you grew up with and the translation that lands most clearly are not always the same one.

What we publish on this website

The pages on this site — the topical verse collections and the articles — are written separately, for the web. The scripture is quoted from the KJV (public domain) and the ESV (licensed), and every reflection around it is original.

The devotions and study plans themselves live in the app. That is not a paywall trick; it is simply what the app is for.
