Five Bible apps, one website
DailyDevotion.app is published by Novix Technology Inc., a small software team in Vancouver, Canada, that has been building Bible apps since 2018. We make five of them, and this website is where all five meet. Each has its own section, and every page here says which app it belongs to — that is the app the button at the bottom of the page will install.

Daily Bible Verse of the Day

They are separate apps because the people who use them are looking for different things: a devotional written for women, a morning habit for men, a long study shelf, a question answered, or simply one verse a day. The pages on this site are for anyone; the sections only decide which app a page points you to next.
Where the scripture comes from
Every quotation on this site is the King James Version or the English Standard Version, word for word. The KJV is in the public domain. The ESV is quoted under a licence from Crossway, whose notice appears on every page that quotes it. Both texts are held in this website's own data and quoted from there — never typed from memory and never fetched from somewhere else at the moment a page is built.
How a page is checked
Before the site can be built, every quoted verse on every page is compared against the text it claims to be, word by word, and a single word out of place stops the build. The notes and prayers around the scripture are original writing for this website, and each page shows the date it was published and the date it last changed.
The notes are one careful reading, not the last word, which is why the passage is always printed beside them. Where a note and the text seem to disagree, trust the text — and tell us.
What stays in the apps
The devotions and study plans inside the apps are written separately and are not published here. That is not a paywall trick; it is simply what the apps are for. This website carries the scripture, the notes on it, and the practical writing around a daily habit.
