Scripture by season
Bible Verses by Topic
Some days you do not need a whole chapter. You need one true sentence you can hold onto while you get through the afternoon.
These pages gather the verses that speak to the seasons women actually walk through — the 3am ones as much as the Sunday ones. Each page carries a dozen passages, quoted in full, with a short note underneath every one explaining what it is actually saying.
Why there is a note under every verse
A verse pulled out of its book can mean almost anything. Jeremiah 29:11 sounds like a promise of a comfortable life until you notice it was written to people about to spend seventy years in exile. That does not make it less true — it makes it truer, and far more useful to someone waiting on something that is not resolving quickly.
So each note says who was speaking, what they were living through, and what the verse is actually claiming. Not a devotion — just enough context that the words land as they were meant to rather than as a fridge magnet.
Two translations, because the words matter
Every verse is given in the English Standard Version and the King James Version. You can switch between them on any page.
The difference is not academic. Philippians 4:6 in the KJV opens “Be careful for nothing” — which in 1611 meant “do not be full of care,” and in 2026 reads like advice to be reckless. The ESV renders the same words “do not be anxious about anything.” If you are reading at speed, upset, looking for something to hold, that gap matters. The KJV is there because for many people it is the version that sounds like home.
How to use these pages
Read one verse, not twelve. Pick the one that catches, sit with it, and if it helps, commit it to memory — what you have memorised is what you will actually have with you at 3am, when there is no page open in front of you.
